"Cheap and simple to use....cute, too!" on by edj0321
Pros: Inexpensive, User-Friendly, Great build and picture quality for the price
Cons: Not rechargeable (as far as I know)
Summary: I was looking for a P&S for my 8-year-old daughter. I didn't want to spend a lot in case it was lost or dropped (by the way, she has dropped it a few times and with no adverse effects) and it also had to be simple to use (obviously!) This is a great camera for a person who's not looking for (or who would be distracted by) tons of bells and whistles, yet it's got a ton of useful feature. The size is just right and it also comes in a handful of cool colors. I'd recommend this camera!!

"Ounce for ounce, a great deal" on by chapmane
Pros: Size, price
Cons: No viewfinder
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive, compact point and shoot for my wife to tote around in her purse. I already have a higher-end Olympus, but it's a little bulky. The S860 powers on in 2 seconds. This camera on Auto takes pictures just as good as my Olympus on Auto. There is a 4 second delay between taking pictures when using the flash. However, the delay is only a second without the flash. I am quite impressed with the face detection and Digital Image Stabilization. Out of 100 shots, only a handful needed to be deleted due to blur. The S860 takes nice shots in low light. The video and audio are very good quality. The software is decent for downloading and managing your pictures. The battery life is as good as my Olympus, which uses 4 batteries. For $80, it's a better deal than cameras with similar features selling for twice as much. It's even so easy to use, we bought one for my techno-phobe mother-in-law.

"This is the best camera." on by 92ranger
Pros: Durbility
Longevity
Easy to use
QualityCons: Not rechargable
Summary: This is the best camera. I have taken this camera on many campouts. It has been exposed to many elements, like rain, snow, and subzero temps. Its been droped in snow and in puddles, yet it still works. I have had it for about five years now and only had two problems with the lense, but samsung is very easy to work with. For as old it is it still takes the same quality pictures as my friend's nikon cool pics.

"Great starting camera. Not many problems" on by atroutwine
Pros: If you can work with lighting and angles, it is a great starting camera. I'd recommend for beginners or those not sure about getting into photography
Cons: Not good at getting moving subjects. Video is questionable. As mine got older, it was slower.
Summary: I like how the auto setting really does cover everything. If you want to get closer objects, it is great. Good size. Good effects. Timer works. Flash is a bit bad in my honest opinion. I would rather go with natural light.
