Pros Very good image quality in color and sharpness;
Built in features are very good - creative, bracketing, etc etc...;
Manual operation (4 ways to do it!)is outstanding on this camera - amazing at this price;
Pano is flawless; 18x zoom is very sharp.
Cons Just a couple of omissions in the user manual explaining operation. All else is just great.
Summary This is an incredible value for a camera with so many features and excellent image quality (with all due respect to the previous reviewer, I am a professional photographer and must say low light performance is easily an 8 out of 10. Image sharpness is very good for a 1/2.3 sensor, but not as good as a 1/1.7 or larger of course. For this price (under $200) this camera is an EXCELLENT value. Highly recommended.
Pros 18X zoom, swap panorama, manual features, auto macro pretty good quality
If you are out and forgotten you charger you can charge it from any modern phone charger with micro USB cable or from USB computer port.
Cons Video quality "1080p" mp4, may be good enough for cell phone not for camera for almost $300. You will cry when you will see dark areas in that videos, there are black spots without any contrast and details.
Summary Do not bother to buy this camera. Samsung not ready for prime time.They said - equipped with 12.5MP BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor,very good performance in low light. Its NOT. My 5 years old Canon S5 IS handle it better. Heavy processing try hide imperfections both in photos and videos. I returned it after multiple tests.
Even I do not like Sony products, I got Sony HX9V/B and I decided to keep it. I do not like its pop up flash, Sony kind of micro USB port (you wont connect it with standard micro usb), but I'm delighted with REAL 1080/60p and other things, and this id other story...
