Pros Slim, elegant, status camera
Cons Lousy pictures. I get better pictures with my old 3 megapixel camera. Unbelievably bad low light performance
"Disappointed"on by rmlipp
Pros Compact and plenty of options
Cons Problems with screen and little help from Sony
Summary I really liked this camera when I first received it as a gift. But I was quickly disappointed with the picture quality and then started having problems with the LCD screen. I contacted Sony and they would require me to pay the repair cost because I don't have a receipt (received as a gift).
Pros Quick, easy, compact
Cons Shake & sometimes blurred pictures
Summary Compact and quick when needed immediately. To capture Family/ children & pets pics for moments that cant wait. Its good for what i need. The handshake blur in pics is really bad....
Pros Slim, stylish and easy to carry
Cons Very poor image quality,
Summary Aside from being slim, stylish and easy to carry, the camera has no other plus going its way. The photos taken using it were not sharp even at ISO 100. Additionally, after owning the camera for less than two years and using it sparingly, the LCD conked out and the estimated cost of repair in an authorized Sony service center will almost be equal to the acquisition cost. It appears to me that the standard of quality that has always been associated with Sony, is now only a MYTH. This camera is definitely not worth owning.
Pros sleek, light way, cool looking
Cons bad picture quality
Summary After a year of using this camera I am finally fed up with it. I was willing to let go of some quality in favor of it's small sleek build. I wanted something I could tote around without feeling burdened. But in the end the picture quality has been dissapointing time and time again.
For the first time I purchased a camera based on looks and didn't bother to research it much. Actually I did a little but chose to ignore that it didn't make any editor listings for compact cameras. To be honest, I thought it just looked really cool. But fashion over function is not a good choice in cameras. I'll stick to Olympus or Canon from now on. My bulky and awkward Olympus produced way better pictures that I can enjoy for years while I'm cursing my pictures from this Sony.
