  • "AWESOME CAMERA!!!"
    on by S-Worthington

Pros + Quality of the photos was amazing
    + Really easy-to-use
+ Screen is nice and big, and doesn't get dirty easily
    + Color is really nice
    + Video mode is great

Cons - It makes a sound every time you push a button
    - You can't zoom on the actual screen before you take a picture
    - You can't zoom in/out while taking a video

Summary I just got this camera in the mail yesterday replacing my old Canon Powershot which was stolen. It was only 7mp, so I knew if I got a camera that was more than double the quality, I would be satisfied- Which I was!

The quality of the photos was amazing, and it was a really easy-to-use camera. I didn't really read the instructions, but i figured it out anyway! The screen is nice and big, and doesn't get dirty easily. If it does, the camera comes in this little paper thing that can be used to clean the LCD.

One thing is that if you don't like noisy cameras, watch out for this one because it makes a sound every time you push a button. Personally, I think it's really cool but that's just my opinion. You may be able to mute the sound, but I'm not sure yet.

The only problems I have with this camera is that first of all, I can't get open the A/V out plug thing, so that may be a problem for me. =) Another thing is that for the zoom, Vendors makes it sound like it's amazing because it's 4x OPTICAL zoom. However, it has no DIGITAL zoom, in other words, you can't zoom on the actual screen before you take a picture. It's still good, though.

The color is really nice; a little darker than the picture but it's pretty. I really like the different features this camera has, like being able to crop the images on the camera.

The video mode is great, because you can hear the sound when you're playing it on the camera- my old one didn't do that. The only problem with the video is that you can't zoom in/out while taking a video, and you have to make sure it's at the right place before you start taping.

Anyway, this is an awesome camera and takes absolutely beautiful pictures. It's really light and can easily fit into one's pocket. I would definitely recommend it!

*** P.S. If you will buy this Camera I suggest you have compare price before you decide at: www.amazon.com/gp/*************?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%****%2Foffer-listing%2FB00328HR5S%3Fie%3DUTF8%26ref_%3Ddp_olp_new%26condition%3Dnew&tag=***************&********=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

  • "a remarkable camera beyond just being good"
    on by chmlee

Pros this little camera shocked me with its results. it does everything right. i dont think people realize what a great camera they have here. i take thousands of pictures with many cameras. when i first tried this i couldn't believe it could be this good.

Cons it seems dumb not to have the camera charge via the usb cable but it works out ok .. you can have one battery on an external charger while using the other. you might not even need a spare battery since it will take a couple hundred pictures with one batt

Summary i have lots of cameras and its not easy to impress me. with this little guy i am truly amazed. the photos are smooth and pleasing, perfectly exposed and the automatic mode does just about what i would do if in manual mode. the small size fits perfectly in a pocket or purse. we found a sock type cover with a draw string that works perfectly for protecting the camera in a purse or pocket. its available for use quickly with that. the "turn on" delay is very short. i love that for the shots you have to take in a hurry. i am still confused why this tiny camera is performing up with the big guys. in fact a bit miffed that i had to pay over a thousand bucks to do better. its likely that people don't realize what a good camera this is. so far i took a little over a thousand pictures just to test it against my other cameras. i tried every situation i could think of. my professional friends are in denial and don't believe the shots i am sending them are from anything but a high end SLR. i cant blame them. they just have to see it for themselves. my daughter who is a pro is convinced i am just playing a joke on her. she thinks i hoaxed the exif information. i think this little guy is a sleeper that some day will be appreciated. i have no connection with Sony. in fact i am a Fuji, Canon, and Nikon lover from way back. good expensive lenses impress me and so does this little camera. obviously i am pleasantly surprised. it sure doesn't need unsharp mask or any other ginger bread items. i just want good pictures and that's what i am getting. i edit nearly every photo i have ever taken. its unusual to not have some improvement that can be made in photoshop or gimp .. but this camera needs little if any editing. it has a dynamic range booster of sorts that actually works in an impressive way. face detection is very well done. it has smile detection i haven't used yet. it has lots of modes and features that thankfully don't clutter up the camera but are available when needed.

  • "TERRIBLE! DON'T BUY ONE"
    on by howistayedalive

Pros Small camera and rechargeable battery

    Cons Everything else.

Summary Don't get one, whatever they tell you. It takes crappy pictures. Most are blurry. You can't override the auto flash, it reads the photo as the wrong kind, so you get the wrong speed shot, on and on. Basically, it sucks!

  • "Totally Sucks!"
    on by gigilalala

Pros It really is the worst camera Ive ever had! The pictures are always blurry, when I use flash, the colors get too white and too bright. I am going to try to change it whit some decent one, because that sucks, and sony cameras always suck.

Cons The worst thing is that I live in Mexico and I had to pay a fortune for this crap bag. (more than the double of you pay in US)

Summary SUM UP: DON'T BUY IT

    Updated on Apr 26, 2011

I forgot the say the pros - I actually like the design specially in blue looks pretty nice

    on by jvazquez53

Pros Any??? messed up all my Disney pictures.

Cons Cannot focus small lights at night.

Summary If I have to buy another camera, it will not be a Sony. The camera has been in the warranty repair center 3 times, and Sony still have not given me a good answer. One of the answers they gave me was that the camera is very sensitive. I have tried all possible modes in this camera without any luck. Daytime pictures come out fine. The video mode is OK.
