"Great camera"on by aaaaakeller
low light pictures
Cons The Zoom
plastic touch screen
Summary Takes pictures as fast as you can slide the shutter down. Great feature for those last second shots
Small and compact. Fits nicely into pocket.
video sound and quailty is pretty good. Even in low light.
Picture quality is great in low light and pretty much every light.
iSweep panorama shot is a neat feature.
Being friendly for dropping, being around water, and not having many buttons is great if you have kids, cleans up real easy.
Steady shot is a great feature too. Works quite well
The zoom isnt all too great, but with good picture quality you can digitally zoom after taking a shot.
All in all i really like this camera, and for the little bit extra money over some other cameras i think this is a smarter buy. I would definately recomend this camera to others!
Pros Low light photos are amazing
Downloadable music for slide shows on camera
touch screen intuitive
Cons VERY Scratch prone.
Summary I love the camera but Sony really effed up by putting a plastic touch screen on a "rugged" camera. I had this camera less than 24 hours and it the touch screen is really scratched up. Deep scratches too!
I bought it from Sony Style and fortunately they are replacing it and paying for the shipping. But it's really making me rethink this purchase. I'm really disappointed. And to top it off Sony doesn't even sell a screen protector for it. They recommended one of the many secondary market protectors. Bad Sony.
Pros We love our camera, it is always with us no matter where we go. It's small and it can go anywhere. Always love the look of shock as people on the beach see me run after our kids as they run into the water and I run right in after them taking pictures or v
Cons Same issue as others, there is an issue with this model with the glossy sliding cover. It will peel. Ours peeled instantaneously one day when we brought it in the water. My guess it was the change in temperature from the air and the water. It bubbled righ
Summary Best point to make is that we have been able to capture a lot of moments with our children that we would have missed with just my DSLR.After reading the other reviews. A few extra things to add.

Yes, a quick shooter. Way faster than my older small digital camera. Panorama feature is great, just hold down the button and sweep. High speed burst mode is fast, great for getting those action shots of the kids when they are moving too fast for a single picture. And we've had our camera for just about a year now and it has been in the water (salt and fresh), in mud, in sand, in snow, dropped, and misused by young children and it is still working great. Only advice is to never open the battery cover until you are home and after you have given it a good rinse and dry.
Pros Amazing Wide Angle pics for scenery, street scenes
Fairly easy to get around menus but confusing at first
very compact and durable
can be set to shoot when subject smiles - very fun! I can even get my son-in-law to smile - eventually!
screen very dura
Cons Faces look distorted (fish eyed) on Intelligent Auto Adjustment mode. due to wide angle?
for macro pics hard to focus on the object if it is small, maybe I don't know the trick?
My battery end is loose - will try to get sony to replace.
Battery life is
Summary I really like this camera, bought it for the underwater, droppable features. The wide angle for my hiking pics is the main reason I love my sony after using it for a while.Does anyone else have the problem - film peeling from slide cover?

Pros Sony Sweep Panorama Thing
Cons Touch-Screen Not Always Responsive
Summary Overall, this camera is definitely worth-it, and is better than Nikon's Coolpix touch-screen camera categories for sure!
