  • "Excellent camera"
    on by manjeet15jan

Pros Best result, video quality is unbeatable , little bit slow processing , but overall performance is excellent, 9.5/10

    Cons best to buy

    Summary must buy

  • "Superb compact camera!"
    on by lefemme95

Pros Easy to use, has 'on-board' help in menu if you need assistance. Menu choices give short descriptions to assist in deciding what mode to use to obtain best photo. Video motion stabilization makes movement appear VERY smooth - a big plus!

Cons None, it's just what I was looking for.

Summary This really is a great little pocket camera about the size and weight of a pack of cards, that has all the bells and whistles, and is super easy to use. Don't let the small size fool you, it will perform beautifully whether you use auto or manual modes. The many options make it a fun and useful camera. Turn off the digital zoom and use the smart/intelligent zoom for a wow factor!
The small size and available modes make this my new favorite 'grab and go' camera. If you buy this, you will not be sorry!

  • "Many positives with a few annoying problems."
    on by Oliphant11

Pros Quick, great photo quality, light and compact.

Cons Control wheel on the back is far too sensitive and often gets triggered by mistake in the middle of a photo opportunity.
Sony's customer service is lacking. Buy from a store rather than directly from Sony - where you can get immediate help.

Summary This camera replaces my 4-yr old Sony DSC-W150 (bath in the ocean). I often shoot one-handed while doing something else like climbing, rafting or kayaking (risky as I found out). The control wheel on the back is way too easy to move and frequently as I go to take a picture I find myself staring at some choice of an alternative shooting mode I did not intended to make because some part of my hand has touched the wheel. Many missed shots. I'm thinking of ways to immobilize this wheel. My old camera had a similar wheel but never was a problem.
I bought the camera directly from Sony and it came with a defective battery. I had to buy a second battery to use the camera and after more than a month since I mailed in the bad battery, Sony has not replaced it. A big thumbs down on their customer service.
Go to a store to see if the selection wheel on the back gives you any problems and buy where you can get help if you have a problem.
