"Super camera AND great value!"
Pros: High quality photos, minimal shutter lag, long battery life, fast startup, lightweight, and great value for the money.
Cons: Few cons (really); noise increases above 100 ASA equivalent (not horribly, but noticeable), doesn't have aperture priority setting (but it does have manual controls over aperture and shutter).
Summary: I did a lot of comparison shopping before purchasing this camera, and the P200 has exceeded my expectations (I had thought I needed to change to a brand other than Sony to get good quality photos). Photo quality is first rate for the point and shoot class. It handled candid shots of our kids fairly well with low shutter lag and fast focus (I use center-weighted focus rather than multipoint focus). Focus is also accurate, a big change from the earlier Sony point and shoot cameras. Flash recharging is much faster than previous Sony cameras of similar design, and battery life is greatly improved. On the first battery charge, I took about 280 photos (all at maximum resolution and least compression), over a four hour period or more, almost all with flash. The exposure on our camera registers a bit dark for my taste, so I often bump up the exposure setting to +1/3 EV. Colors are accurate. I have printed 11x14 photos from the shots and the detail and richness is first rate, especially for a lightweight point and shoot. Finally, and, no, I'm not a plant, just an avid supporter of really good products, the Sony Style website sells accident protection plans with extended warranties. The prices are reasonable if you've ever had a digital camera break, which given their sensitivity to bumps and bruises, is usually sooner or later. My earlier Sony point and shoot cameras were a disappointment, no doubt about it. This one is not only a huge improvement, but is also a great camera and great value.

I need a good compact camera in my business. My previous cameras, Nikon Coolpix and HP935 were extremely slow and battery usage was a problem. Also, I went shopping at HH Greg for the Cyber Shot 150. They were out of stock and gave me the 200 at the 150 price of $299. Now, that's customer service
