"Great Camera!"
Pros: HUGE LCD, Small Size, Good Battery life, Very fast speed and start up
Cons: low light requires steady hands
Summary: I bought this camera two weeks ago while in Japan when my old Canon S30 lens began acting up. The criteria I was using on deciding on a camera was 1. Size, 2. Speed, 3. LCD Size. I first noticed it because of its sleek design and small, yet not too small, size. It also sports a 2.5" screen. Also, the shutter response and loading time was very short. It seems to load almost instantly.
The controls are very easy to use as long as you make sure your left hand stays out of the way of the lens.
The battery life is very good and the charger is a definite plus. The screen also tells you how much battery life (in minutes)is remaining.
The picture quality is very good so far so I can't really complain, although I have heard that the Sonys don't seem to perform as well as other brands. I haven't really run into any of these problems.
Finally, as for price, Sonys are known to be on the more expensive side. I was able to get this camera with a 256MB Memory Stick Pro Duo for about $440 USD, which is not cheap but also less than what I wouldve paid at a local store in NYC. Shop around online and you can probably find a good deal.
