"With its huge LCD screen and uncanny low light focusing ability, the camera is a pleasure to use."
Pros: 2.5 inch LCD screen, screen ramps up in low light, sharp images corner to corner, unlimited movie length, manual settings, ability to focus in complete darkness
Cons: non adjustable review time after shutter release
Summary: I'm a pro who shoots jobs with digital equipment. This camera is a delight for my fun photography. The large LCD screen is a joy. Battery endurance is substantial with just a pair of NiMH AA. The manual setting gives enough control of shutter speed and aperture to handle any situation. Images appear sharp from edge to edge. A 512 megabyte memory stick yields approx 200 full resolution images. Criticism I've read in this forum appears to be a product of pilot error. You need to know a little bit about photography to get consistent results with ANY camera.Updated
Plus factors for this camera include the big LCD of course which also brightens nicely in dark rooms, cheap and available long lasting NIMH AA batteries (it comes with 2 and a charger), a nice user interface (menues), great low light focusing performance, manual controls, accurate exposure including at very close macro distances with flash. All in a package with a classic look, a quality feel and just the right size. My only wish would be to keep the image on the screen more than 2 seconds after taking the shot. No big deal. Having a great time with this camera.
