"Beautiful but EVF and lagtime horrible"
Pros: Build, price, quality, sturdiness, super-wide angle excellent lens
Cons: EVF, lagtime, no built-in stabilzation
Summary: I tested this camera at three different shops here in Hawaii. I have seen samples of the images produced by this camera so I will not argue the quality. However, I would not use this camera because of the EVF, the very long shutter lagtime and the "hope it looks good" attitude you have to adopt when using this camera. I don't like EVF at all, and this EVF is just so-so (Fuji S9100 is superior), you basically have to guess and hope that the picture turns out okay. I would say that this camera is an excellent choice for tripod studio work or tripod landscape, portrait, or architecture work, all with remote control. This is not a quicksnap camera like others in this quality range. It is a superb camera that requires patience and staged settings. Under these circumstances I would highly recommend it but I cannot stand EVF at all. The visual lagtime of the EVF and the shutter lagtime take a lot of fun away from an otherwise superior quality camera.
