"Very versatile camera with adaptable features"
Pros: Fantastic pictures & creative slideshow
Cons: None. The camera's features allowed for adjustments,
Summary: This camera is able to overcome most picture problems and video concerns. First, for pictures, set the camera in the "Program" mode, then use any AF. In dark settings, use the AF Illuminator, but do not zoom, and set the Flash Level to"+", using the highest resolution, and increase the EV (+). It is best to shoot at the highest resolution, then tim the pictures (8m to 5m, etc). When recording video, do not zoom, increase the EV to +2 (indoors), and set the Focus to "Infinity or the lesser 7.0m, etc). This eliminates the noise that I have read in other reviews. For night shots (lowlight, buildings), set to "No Flash", leaving the camera in the "Program" mode. And if you really want to get serious, set the camera mode to "Manual", set the "Mset" to the suitable aperature (F2.8, etc) and adjust the shutter speed. This camera will have functions like a SLR/35mm camera. In this scenario, always use a tripod. The camera can overcome most picture situations. But you must learn the three (3) modes and their unique settings. This camera can be sophisticated or simple, depending on your likes and expertise. I am impressed with it's flexibilities. As for slideshows, the camera is awesome! The user has to practice, practice, practice. As someone said, "This camera is not for everyone". I have had the N-1 for about three weeks (over 1,000 pictures), and I have learned most features by habit. GREAT CAMERA, and I am still learning. The touch screen and "Spot AF" are very helpful.
