"Perfect Pictures Every Time !"
Pros: 8.1 megapixels at lightening speed, Huge 3" LCD, Popup menu explanations
Cons: Haven't found one yet.
Summary: I was about to give up after owning a Sony P1, P92, P100, T1, and T9. All of these camera's I own/owned by Sony have similar problems: Flash can't be adjusted, indoor pics are a crap shoot as far as blurring, focus, balance. And forget using the 7.2 Megapixel mode on the P100 without locking it down on a tripod! THESE PROBLEMS ARE HISTORY !!! SONY HAS FINALLY DONE IT !!! This T100 is HOT ! I was about to switch my point and shoot camera to a Canon. I held out one more time and I'm glad I did. This T100 is remarkable: It process a hand-held (shakey) 8.1 megapixel shot in less than a split second. And every picture I've taken (pre-focus or not)is crystal clear and sharp. The menus are phenomenol. A popup explanation of each function appears, explaining the setting that you are about to select. The screen is clear and at 3" it takes up most of the back-side. The sounds the camera makes are futuristic and refreshing. THE 5x OPTICAL ZOOM is unbelievable for a point and shoot camera!!! I thought FACE DETECTION was going to be a gimmic. But this feature is AMAZING !!! I'm still playing around taking more indoor shots in different lighting situations - but the ones I've taken so far: It's never washed out with too much flash - it seems to adjust to your setting - once again leading to a perfect picture. Did I mention the full 1080HD still image shooting? If you are a HD Videographer this camera is handy to have to blend int stills with your video.
Double Anti-blur Technology/ Super SteadyShot/ High sensitivity ISO3200/ Effective 8.1 Mega pixels/ Optical zoom 5x/ HD SMART ZOOM 8.5x/ HD Slide show with music (HDTV required)/ Face Detection/ 3.0" Hybrid LCD monitor/ Clear Photo LCD plus (230k dots)

I have to agree with you on everything you said. I owned most of the camera's you mentioned and most recently the T9. Though they had their upsets, they were still good. I was going to buy the canon camera thats "water resistant" and shock resistant, but a friend informed me of this camera and I had to get it. Hands down the best camera I have ever gotten with the best features..The face detection really draws a crowd sometimes and works like a charm.
If anyone knows how well the Marine Pack is for sony cameras (MPK-WB) please tell me, I have it in my shopping cart about to buy it and would love some input. THANKS!
