"Do reviewers even use these devices?"
Pros: The picture quality is amazing to me, I'm surprised that was the con. This is my 3rd digital camera and definitely seems to be the best so far. I also love the size, it fits in my front pocket w/o any discomfort.
Cons: Sony's menu navigation system is annoying to me, I'm so used to Canon's that I really wish they would have a similar setup, but they don't. I'm sure if I was a Sony person switching over to a canon I'd feel the same way. And of course, $$$$.
Summary: One of the complaints the original review had was that you constantly had to press "ok," for everything that you did pretty much. Well initially you do, but you can turn this off by finding the function guide feature and switching it to Off. After playing with the camera for a few minutes I found this, kind of makes me wonder how much these reviewers even look at the devices and do they even glance at the manuals?
I would recommend it, but I think this camera is also a niche camera. Whether you're looking for certain features, the really large lcd screen, or just the latest tech gadget, I would think that the majority of people could buy a camera for about half the price and it would still fit their needs. Overall I'm very satisfied, but would have been a lot more so if the price would have been $280 rather than $380. I took 1 star off because of the price that I feel is a bit much, didn't take any off for the menu system since I feel that's just something I'll learn in time since even my first canon digital camera took some time getting used to.
