"Nice body, nice features, poor photos"2.0 starson by was4me
Pros: Menus work well, nice layout, front slide is excelent, love the interface.
Cons: Photos are very poor quality shooting with flash or indoors. 5MB photo taken on high resolution looks no better than a 300k compressed photo. A bit slow to fire, panarama doesn't wok reliably.
Summary: I love the interface and mechanical design, this camera makes it very easy to access the most used features (except the ISO adjustment completely disapeared from menus, manual says it should be on top menu layer but it is nowhere to be found). The photo quality is just not acceptable, 5MB photos taken with this camera look to me no better than a 300k compressed photo. (I bought this T99 because the old T90 took great pics and ok movies, but T99 does not have even close to the same photo quality).I learned today the camera must be in Program Mode to access ISO settting. Unfortunately high ISO was not the cause of grainy pics.
The outside of the camera has a sharp edge all the way around the front, which doesn't give the feeling of quality, but this is not a show stopper.
I have large fingers and founnd the touch screen to work very nicely.
The cameral is going back to the store because it takes lousy photos. Unfortunately I'm going to be stuck paying a 30 dollar restocking fee.

Updated on Feb 20, 2011I brought the T99 back, store staff very surprised at complaint of poor quality on a Sony. One associate looked at my pics on a PC in the store and agreed that the quality was poor. They convinced me to try another T99 in case the first was defective, so I took another one home but got same results. After researching reviews, I decided to spend $100 more and get the Sony DSC-TX9. OMG the X9 is an awesome camera! No one can believe the great quality, and the features are even better layed out than the T99. So if picture quality is important, beg, borrow (but don't ever steal!) to get the DSC-TX9!
