"Just OK...worth doing more research for something else."
3.0 starson by retrobillPros: Clean, clear photo quality, simple and comfortable button layout
Cons: Lacking features and manual controls, awkward to hold (I have big hands), too big for the features it offers
Summary: I wanted to like this more than I do now. It sounds great on paper, but for the price I thought it came up a little short. Still shots are very nice, clear, clean, etc., especially on iauto. But if you're planning on experimenting with manual controls or you're looking to upgrade your old point and shoot, I'd suggest paying a little more for something worthwhile. This is just a little too basic for the price, but if all you care about is good image quality then I think it's worth considering. If you're looking for something similar within or around $300, I'd highly recommend one of the Panasonic SZs. From my experience with them, they operate a little slower than the H70...but the overall shooting experience, manual controls, and features were better IMO. If you are Sony-biased and can afford it, try out the HX9...it's pretty expensive at $350 but very impressive. Otherwise, save your money and go for the HX5V.
