I bought this camera in Australia, before relocating to the UK. It took me 2 months to locate a shop that sold the mini CD-R's it takes in the UK. Sony UK couldn't help me, and no Sony store could assist me in my search. I found 1 store ... yes, that's right ... 1 store that sells the discs in London. I am now stock-piling the discs because in a year's time, I bet they will be unavailable.
My advice is, although this camera takes the best digital photos I have seen so far for a non-SLR, the difficulty in locating the mini CD-R's has made me suggest not to buy this camera. And Sony's total lack of help in locating the discs has made me think I'll never buy a Sony product again. Its a pity a great camera has been ruined by the company's lack of product-maintenance.
Lastly, if you do buy this camea, DO NOT EVER use cheap mini CD-R's in it. I used 3 of them (Imation), and now the camera doesn't work properly. And although its still under warranty, Sony once again can't help me fix it. Discs now fail, and the camera can't read the discs if I change them before finalising, or change the battery, thereby loosing all photos taken. However, if I use a disc until full, then finalise it immediately, the photos are ok. But I can't change batteries - camera must be plugged in and recharged when the battery runs out.
All-in-all, this is unacceptable, and a pain in the behind. But the only alternative is to pay a fortune to have it repaired, or buy another camera. All this because I used cheap CD-R's.
I'll be using this camera until it finally stops working altogether, then buying another - non-Sony - camera.
