Apple TV (fall 2010)

Pros: This product works at advertised. The setup is very simple. WIthin 5 minutes of opening the box, I was watching netflix. It is very easy to access itunes media such as music, photos, etc. I like using the iphone as a remote control device.

Cons: Wish it could access more items from computer, not just those in itunes.

Summary: This is an excellent, easy to set up and easy to use product. It works exactly as advertised- ie use Apple TV to access Netflix, Youtube, etc as well as access media from your computer such as music, photos, movies, etc. I enjoy viewing our photos using slide show via iphoto. The set up is dead simple and works. And, it only costs $99.
I suspect this product will get better over time, as more apps are added, etc.
There have been some complaints about not handling 1080; I have not noticed that the picture quality of netflix is degraded at all. Also, there have been some complaints about lag speed. I have not found this to be a problem. Likely it depends upon the quality of your internet connection and wireles network.

All in all a terrific little product from Apple!
