"Ugly Duckling"
Pros: kiddie appeal
Cons: looks could improve
Summary: I don't really need a $179.00 alarm clock and I don't think I want to be seen with a gizmo that ugly even if it had features that I'd use regularly. The black one looks better and I assume the manufacturer will somehow streamline it inside AND out. NOTE TO cnet media producers: Can you guys get the audio to match in volume between the blaring front-loaded commercial and the low voiced reviewer? A little compression is all you need.
