Some buffering issues during playbackSummary: I have been using my PS3 to stream media since I cut the cord over 7 months ago. It worked alright, but I wasn't happy I couldn't get Amazon on the PS3, so I switch to the Roku and it meets that need and so much more.
The set up was easy and I was ready to go within 30 mins of opening the box. Amazon instant video and Netflix both stream clear 1080HD. They look gorgeous. Along with Hulu, Amazon and Netflix I was amazed at how many other channels where available. Fox News, CNN, Twit.tv, Revision3, Frogpants Network, Weather, Pandora, NBC, CBS, Disney and so much more. Plus, with private channels, you have the ability to add even more channels. One of the biggest downsides is not being able to get HBOGo to work without a cable subscription. I really would like to pay HBO directly for content without having to have cable.
If you are looking to cut the cable cord and save some money the Roku 2 XD really is one of the best, if not the best, options available.
