Cons I have had difficulties setting up and running the wireless under WPA2-PSK. I ended running a wired connection. I think this is an issue with my router. No static IP capability. Limited user customization options. Limited documentation. on by M7a4r3k | Read full review

Cons I agree about lack of hulu support, but Roku could always add that. Blu-Ray or game systems don't either so I don't see that as a disadvantage really. They really couldn't have done any better, I would recommend this to anyone on by bubazoo | Read full review

Cons Lack of video connections. Only Composite and HDMI on this particular model; component was dropped in order to shrink things down. on by Mystakill | Read full review

Cons Cnet has little info about alternatives including the WD TV Live Plus HD, and actually no mention at all of the brite-View CinemaGo or CinemaTube media extenders, all of which can do Netflix. on by FranklinH10 | Read full review

Cons Using the HDMI cable on my Sony hd tv creates a green screen on the Roku if left for a few days without use. Must be an HDMI handshake issue with the Sony. Resorted to using component cables and haven't had a problem since. on by logos | Read full review

Cons Main menu can be sluggish, lost wifi settings, no Youtube support, majority of "channels" require a subscription, finding a specific channel can be a challenge, no Hulu plus support on by mdavis03 | Read full review

Cons While Roku is a good client for Internet media servers, it's EPIC FAIL as a client for my in-home media servers. Duh.
There's no on/off switch. on by wildbillc777 | Read full review -
Cons Sometimes when I watch on HULU and I try to pause a show, I get some weird issues, like picture in picture and its all out of sinc. Not sure if that's user error or not! but other than that, I have no issues with it. Maybe more channels? on by lhiatt | Read full review

Cons Clunky interface, primitive networking, slow response on a fast network, very limited content, extra cost for other channels have no value due to lack of worthwhile content, and NO technical or billing support from Roku beyond basic hardware functions. on by petown | Read full review

Cons The set-up, which requires "codes" from the provider's web-site, (MLB, NetFlix and many others) could be simplified... this is a very minor gripe. on by abez22 | Read full review

Cons Interface design and apps outside of Netflix (e.g., Amazon VOD, MP3Tunes) are still very klutzy, sometimes unusable, visually unappealing, and on the level of DIY home projects. Component video on the XDS is a joke. on by Cresence | Read full review

Cons Unfortunately, it really only does one thing (albeit well). on by mdbirnbaum | Read full review

Cons No access to existing media over a network. Not a good choice for folks trying to access media from their media computers/hard drives remotely. on by Todd Templeton | Read full review
