Pros Easy to set up, good streaming WiFi, plenty of free feeds, has radio, music and streaming movies.
Cons Choice of free movie feeds usually feature movies that are at least 3 years old. Some movies hang up in an endless loop between ads. Sports channels need to get on board.
Summary An excellent way to make that first step to break away from cable.
Pros A great variety of streaming material is available through Roku.
Cons (These comments refer to a predecessor model, and not to the LT. I do not remember the model number of the Roku I owned. I can't look it up because I threw the damn thing away.)
Mechanically, my Roku was junk.
The LT has fewer features than my Roku did.
Summary My Roku failed just long enough after purchase so as to be out of warranty. (Warranty is 90 days.) I replaced it with a NeoTV NTV200 by Netgear, which is also inexpensive as these things go. The NTV 200 seems to be working OK. The variety of streaming material is sufficient on the NTV 200.Regarding the "fewer features" comment I made above: The LT does not have an ethernet jack, nor does it have an S/PDIF output. My older Roku had both these items.
It is also possible to turn off the NTV 200. My Roku did not have an on/off switch. It was always on.
I would not recommend a Roku for reasons of workmanship.
To someone who has not owned a streaming media player before, I recommend the player with the most personally suitable streaming material. (The various manufacturers have different deals with different content providers.)
Once burned, twice shy. I will not buy a Roku again.

Pros Cheap, Streams subscription and many free channels.
Cons Wish it had the Ethernet port
Summary I love this little thing.
Pros Affordable, easy to install and use. I'm not a techy and gadgets often frustrate me. Roku XD installation was simple and I really appreciated the super easy instructions. I'm still adding channels but the process is quick and exploring is a snap!
Cons Looking for a way to get my local news since I dumped my cable carrier. I hope that eventually local channels come on board! Overall, exceptionally good product!
Summary Very excited to reduce my cable bill and watch what I want, when I want it. The channel and program selection is excellent. I added hulu plus and netflix - i think that i won't ever be wanting for something "good" to watch.
Roku xd cost $80 at best buy and i added hulu plus at $8 a month and netflix for the same. This will reduce my overall tv bill by about $60 a month plus i get to watch all the movies i want. I worked a deal with fios to keep my internet at $45 a month for the next year with a 15/5 mb speed. That speed seems to be more than adequate.
I am very happy with this product!
Pros Easy to handle, ofcourse all other similar devices are easy to handle. Enjoyed free poker game app. Enjoyed streaming of dishworld tv, as it has got very good bufferring.
Cons 90 day warranty only, poor streaming performance on below 3 MBPS speed. waste of time requesting support for streaming issues on netflix, willowtv and yupptv re: 2 XS. HDMI needs very higher speeds. After 90 day warranty, you need to buy extended war
Summary Easy to handle, ofcourse all other similar devices are easy to handle. Netflix was ok. I disconnected and added, and it is not working. I was told to buy again, as it was out of 90 day warranty. When you buy online they will never tell you upfront, you need to click on support and search for warranty in the website. Need High internet speeds for HDMI streaming. Yupptv is no more supported on Roku. I am cricket game fan, but I got sandwiched between WillowTV and Roku.
