Summary I love this box and for $99 its a steal. Much better than the DVD mailer route for:
1. FREE grandkids shows that are needed on the spur of the moment,
2. FREE short indy videos that I'd never queue up otherwise,
3. FREE for surfing music DVDs just to check them out (I'm suddenly a Yanni fan),
4. FREE for TV shows (Heroes) that was already on my regular queue,
5. FREE, yes for older stuff that I just use as filler when my DVDs haven't arrived.
6. FREE instant selection from 10K offerings.
NOTE: The box is capable of much better audio/video, all the way up to HDMI and digital HD video and 5.1 audio as soon as the bandwidth and source offerings are available. And for right now, $99 up front and FREE re-curring cost is out-of-the-ballpark unique, like, not offered by anyone else. Until the available source material improves I don't see how anyone can rate the box itself at anything under a "10".
Pros I liked the convenience and versatlity, for about 4 months. I will be replacign it with a more reputable product tomorrow.
Cons Then in August ROKU apparently pushed an unwanted firmware update to my box. Netflix was no longer fun. The box repeatedly "tries" to connect to the internet, usually unsuccessfully. Never again ROKU...
Summary I will never again buy a ROKU product; this has been an absolute nightmare delaing with incompetent customer disservice, and blatant corporate lies by an online scam operation.

Cons They will NOT refund your money and there is no one to talk with about the problem.
Summary The unit was returned without even being opened. It took about 3 weeks and 15 LONG phone calls to finally get the return label e-mailed to me. Per FedEx tracking it was received back at their headquarters on January 22 but they will NOT credit my account. There is no phone # to call other than their "technical assistance" in India. Those people tell you to wait two more days and they will escalate the issue. Nothing happens. I've called and e-mailed over and over. I order a lot of merchandise on line and NEVER have had problems like this. Someone suggested contacting the California consumer frad agency, but I'm not sure how to do that.
Pros Great access to Pandora for music and Netflix for streaming videos (though your Netflix account must be "unlimited")
Cons Once you subscribe to a channel, you're stuck with it. There's no way to unsubscribe. Roku Help says contact the channel vendor, but there is no vendor for some of the channels, and for others no discernable way to unsubscribe. Be cautious.
Summary Very nice for streaming Netflix videos and Pandora music - but there's no way to tell what's on the other channels without subscribing to them. And, once you've subscribed, there's no way I can find to unsubscribe to them.

Summary Netflix is GREAT, but they need a new company to be the "official" Netflix player. Roku, is CRAP and they don't support their CRAP either. This is a Lose Lose deal for all involved. The Customer, Netflix, Netflix Viewer and eventually, even Roku! Concept is GREAT, but hardware and software are the WORST!
