Summary: I have been a slingbox user for 2 years now. With the slingcatcher finally making it to the market, it was hard to contain myself and wait until Christmas to receive this as a gift. In the months before Christmas I began to doubt my desire to want one, especially after reading some of the reviews on cnet. The bad reviews are far from reality. I had the slingcatcher up and running 15 mins after it was out of the box catching my slingbox in Florida and projecting steaming video from one of my favorite life casting sites. It does exactly what slingmedia said it would do.
Just like the slingbox, you need a CAT5 line attached to it or utilize the slingturbo bridge.
All video quality is dependent on the source upload speeds and your download speeds.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to watch there slingbox or streamed videos directly onto there TV. Great product!
