Pros Video quality is perfectly clear with ZERO artifacts or other visual defects. Awesome plug and play compatibility with phones, tablets, usb drives, hard drives etc. Huge library of online content. DLNA is awesome! This thing is near perfect.
Cons Would not stream/play My Touch 4G Slide recorded video. Some text and album art is a little too small but it's still workable. Some times on screen images/icons/cover art takes a few seconds to load after a screen change.
Summary This thing is packed with tons of online content. While the menus are small they allow for a lot of customization of the device and and everything just seems to work on it. I usually don't buy Sony that often because they are always trying to push their own standards but they really did a great job on this little device. They did put a ZEN button on the controller but it's not a big deal.
I'm surprised this thing isn't more popular. It's a no brainer in my mind as I have used both Roku's and now this and this thing blows Roku out of the water. For only 10 bucks more than the Roku LT, it's an easy decision.

Pros Easy to set up
Cons None that I can see.
Summary I bought two of these at Costco to use on two Samsung 23 inch hdtvs. They were on sale for $65 each. I was leery about buying due to the Cnet review but very glad I did. I don't see any issue with being able to read the content on Netflix. I can see it with no problem even on these small screens. The remote is not as nice as the Apple tv which I also own, but it does it's job. This is a very nice product with at a very nice real world price.
Pros WIFI baby! Very easy setup to my Netgear Wireless-N 300 router (DGN2000) and was streaming both Amazon and Crackle within 13 minutes! Connected to USB interface using my external WD 1Tb Hdrive. SMP-N200 recognized it immediately and all file names.
Cons Doesn't support FLV files.
Summary I'm curious why the CNET reviewer was IMO hyper-critical of this product. Sony did a super job with this product. Easy to set up and user interface was very capable and intuitive. Contrary to what others have said my .AVI files did play. All other movies and videos played perfect.
To test it's capabilities before connecting to HDTV set I connected this with RCA cords to older Toshiba tube set, works flawlessly. The price was excellent considering the competition is way more expensive.
Pros Easy setup
Can control TV via HDMI interface
CHEAP!!! $69.99 at Best Buy
Cons Remote control is small
Summary I just got this device and it was a super easy setup, i just plugged it in to the hdmi port on my 46" Sony bravia tv and it automatically switched the tv to that input. Setup was a breeze and linking my Netflix, amazon, YouTube, and Pandora accounts took all of 5 minutes via Sony's web set with my laptop. The android app works very well too, no complaints. I have a asus tablet and it found the SMP right away. Highly recommend.
Pros Awesome picture quality for supported file types. Has connection jacks to support all AV connection types (Coax, Component, and HDMI)
Cons Had to return it because it doesn't support .avi files.
Summary I bought it to replace my Dlink DSM-520. I assumed it would support all of the same file types as my PS3 so I didn't read the fine print that it does not support .avi files. I had to return it because all of my movies are .avi files (since that was the DSM-520 only plays .avi files) If you buy this be sure to check the supported file types before you buy!
I did check out the Netflix and Hulu apps while I had it. The streaming picture quality was awesome on my HD television. I wish It could play my movie files.
