Pros It sounded very good for the short time I had it.
Cons It would have been fine if I had not had to deal with the repair service. They did everything wrong, terrible communications.
Summary The repair service at all levels seemed to be inept or not aware of how to administer a customer service center.
Didn't acknowledge my radio was received until about 10 days after the USPS delivered it to them. Then the seemed to not be able to ever honestly update me with the status of the repair.
Two different people promised to replace the radio with a new one, but they never followed through and did it. Then they sent mine or what they said was mine to the wrong customer about 1500 miles away from me.
I was fed up by now and after contacting higher level people in the company, they finally agreed to refund my money plus shipping charges for sending it to repair.
I have since bought a competitor's radio at a local store and really like it.
Pros Excellent sound
Cons CD part of the system is completely unreliable - my player stopped reading CDs after about a year. Just after warranty expired. For $300, a clock radio should last more than a year. Customer service told me there were many problems with this!
Summary Do not buy this product!!! Totally overpriced, unreliable.
Pros Great sound quality in a compact unit. We don't have space or desire for a large surround-sound set up for our TV, and really like having this hooked to the flat-panel. It improves the TV experience significantly.
Cons We chose this model specifically for the iPod docking station, which broke within weeks of purchase. The connection part simply came off, and cannot be fixed.
Summary iPod docking station finicky & unsupported by Cambridge Soundworks. Not only does Cambridge Soundworks NOT cover this part under the warranty, but it also no longer carries this model or part. So I can't even pay them to replace the dock. After 3 calls and 2 emails to customer service, Justin told me to buy a new auxiliary iPod dock directly from Apple. Cambridge Soundworks has lost me as a customer. Also, CSW says they no longer carry this product at all, so they can't replace the whole unit even if they were willing to. Good grief, we just bought it!
Check warranty coverage before buying any products from this company!

Pros Great sounding audio table top system. Almost like Bose. You can adjust audio to your liking. The information screen is big and readable. Automatic light sensorit dims when it is dark. Two alarms to set either tone or wake up to CD or FM station.
Cons Refurbished still defective. Controls not intuitive=hard. FM bandwidth 87.9-107.9 only! Setting alarm time not easy. Over all look of product=ugly. No extra antenna for FM.
Summary I bought Soundworks radio cd 745i refurbished online in company's website thinking I will get the best deal money and product wise. I was certainly wrong about the product. A few hours of playing music in my radio, product won't turn on anymore. Absolutely disappointed. The few hours of music playing was great. The sound is amazing. Low or High volume, no sound distortion. You can adjust Bass, Treble, Loudness, Mono, Stereo, Wide. Bass is fantastic. Cd play is great. I make my own Cds using CD-r or CD-rw. They work. Plugging in my ipod shuffle in the aux jack in the front was good. It worked well. Alarm settings are good meaning you can adjust the snooze time, volume, etc. OK, thats pretty much the pros. Lets go to the cons. product look is not good. it looks ugly. so many buttons in the front all squeezed in parallel to each other. You certainly can't worked the buttons with your eyes closed. Only 8 preset buttons for FM stations. If they have that much buttons in the front, they could certainly accommodate more presets. The controller is not intuitive either. On and off button in the very bottom and its a credit card controller. They could've invested on a more regular controller with this much price we're paying. Ipod dock is horrible. Ipod works fine with audio but the controller supposedly can control ipod functions as well, but it doesn't do it well. You have to press the buttons a couple of times before the Ipod recognizes it. The FM bandwidth is only 87.9-107.9. I listen to a radio station that's 87.7. How am I suppose to get that station if they only start with 87.9? The FM reception is not as good as reviewers rave about. I still hear a little static in most fm stations. The FM antenna is supposedly in the wire when you plug it in. They include in the box an AM antenna, why not an FM antenna?. The system itself looks kind of cheap. The serial number is not even etched on the plastic, it's just stickered on cheaply.
If you buy Cambridge soundworks products, you pay for the sound period. Nothing else. I am truly disappointed with them. I now have to return the product and will not be reimbursed for shipping the item back to them. Buyer beware when buying any Cambridge soundworks product. It is at your own risk!
Pros Compact size, big sound
Cons AM frequency band was off by 10 KHz
Summary No warranty unless you pruchase directly from Cambridge. I purchased a new unit but learned that the warranty was not valid. Customer service advised that I either return the unit for repair of the AM freq problem and they would look at it for a minimum of $65, or I could purchase a new unit.
