Summary: I got this piece of junk installed 3 weeks ago and problem started even before the technician left. I was getting the dreaded 771 (searching for satellite signal) error message. The technician told me it was my cables inside the walls that is causing the problem. Just replace the cables and connect directly from the TV to the multiswitch and the problem would be solved. I did, nothing has changed. I still get the error. The unit responds slowly to the remote. It freezes up at least once a week. Sometimes doesn't record shows. And sometimes the HD channels are pixalated. Directv made me sign a 2 year contract for LEASING their equipment at the price of $199 and additional monthly lease fees. Too bad Verizon Fios is not available in my area.
