"Great features - terrible reliability"
Pros: ease of use, seamless integration with Dish programming
Cons: Runs hot, freaks out, you lose all your recordings when it craps out
Summary: I have gone through at least 4 510's over the past few years. They randomly freak out and my most recent one (3 days old) lost the disk drive. They don't credit you for loss of service, and charge you extra programming fees while you wait for a replacement box. I'm been a Dish customer for 7 years and they don't care that I'm ready to drop them. I asked to have it replaced with an alternate model, and they are ready to charge me more and force a new 2 year commitment.
