"Simple.TV is anything but simple to set up."1.0 starson by mjdk
Pros: Not a whole lot - it does not work.
Cons: Unable to read hard drive, couldn't find channels, too many wires. 2 coaxial attachments are placed so far in that its difficult to attach a cable to it. No wifi or bluetooth - makes it useless unless both a router and antenna are in the vicinity.
Summary: For it to work, you will need more cords than a 1950's telephone exchange station.
1 Coaxial input (i.e. the antenna), 1 coaxial output to the TV, a hard drive connected through the USB, an ethernet cable (yep, these folks don't believe in wifi or bluetooth) and finally a power cord. After its all said and done there is a whole bunch of wires coming out.
In my case I have the coaxial in the living room but the router is in the office. Thus, I could either run a 40ft coaxial wire from the living room to the office or a CAT6 the other direction, either of which was impractical. I decided to buy another antenna and set it up in the office, this however did not yield any channels. The Simple.TV also was not able to read the hard drive. So essentially it is completely useless, nice plastic paperweight with lots of wires.
To sum it up it is a complete piece of rubbish.
