TiVo Series2 DT (80-hours)

Pros: pausing live tv, recording tons of shows, being able to dowload to my computer, one nice simple remote control, tivo suggestions, pretty simple to set up and navigate and even my friend who is a senior citizen was able to operate tivo ...

Cons: POOR CANADIAN SUPPORT which really ticks me off !!! website can not even accommodate canadian addresses ..tivo desktop prompts me very time to upgrade and when i try it is only for americans ... over a hundred dollars a year to continue to have tivo

Summary: i like my tivo ... it is way better than a vcr ... super annoyed about the lack of canadian support ... apparently there is a way to upload videos from computer to tivo to watch on tv ... i have gone through the process repeatedly and it does not work ... it is so geared towards americans (and nothing at all against americans!!!) i will probably go for the dvr offered by my local cable company when my contract is up ... when i purchased my tivo at the store, the store did not have one tivo that had not been returned by a customer and i had to wait for a new one to be sent ...
