Pros Leaks quietly. A good gift for your worst enemy.
Cons Bad exhaust design. Replacement after replacement, just give it 6 months and it is leaking again. A stimulis program for service and repair. Note - responsible for ruined floors or weeks out of service.
Summary Absolutely the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. If you feel life has just been to good, and you need balance, buy this.
Pros It's quiet.
Cons It doesn't clean dishes properly.
It requires you to manually pre-clean all the dishes and it still doesn't cleant them.
Water drains out of the unit right away, causing it to attempt to clean without water.
Customer service leaves you on hold
Summary The LG dishwasher (model number LDF6920WW)is by far the worst dishwasher I've ever owned. It's never cleaned the dishes properly. You can pre-wash the dishes before putting them in but it still doesn't clean them. It has some bizarre quirk of draining all the water and trying to clean without water! No wonder it has a stellar reputation for being so quiet. There is no water swishing around to make any noise!
We've had a technician come out 3 times already and none of them can fix it. Yet when I call LG customer service, their solution is to send out another technician. They said there is no lemon law and all they are obligated to do is send out technicians but not to fix it, just to send out technicians! Outrageous!!! They lied. They said if it didn't work the third time, they'd let me talk to their resolution department. But after it still didn't work the third time, they said they can't put me through to their resolution department unless I first talked to a supervisor. When I waited on hold for what seemed to be forever, the supervisor finally came on the line and started me at square one again, sending out a technician. LG? Life is Good? Perhaps they should change their slogan to: "When you own a 'Life's Good appliance' your life may become miserable."
Pros Good looking, loads nicely, quiet while it lasts.
Cons Not long-lasting, so do not buy this machine.
Summary We have owned this machine for about three years. One issue is that the nylon cables that help lift the door with the help of springs will fray and break a few years of every other day use, requiring partial pull-out and replacement. I bought spares.
After nearly three years of every other day use, the main pump with motor unit makes a high-pitched squealing noise that is apparently the result of a leaking pump seal that has allowed water to enter the main motor upper bearing, damaging it, thus the squealing. I ordered a complete sump unit and will replace the failing unit and will replace it myself when the replacement arrives which should be in a few days. This will be our first and last major repair for this machine. After that, it will be out the door for replacement with a Bosch.
Pros None, whatsoever
Cons Everything! With every load, there are always a few items that need to get rewashed - especially spoons, glasses, mugs.... And I always rinse my dishes before loading. I will be purchasing another dishwasher.
Summary I got this dishwasher and immediately realized that I'd made a huge mistake. The only reason why I didn't return it was because it was delivered and installed while I was away, so that when I returned three months later the store wouldn't accept it back. Seven service calls later, it's still no better. When I finally told them that I need a replacement dishwasher, they outright refused.
Pros Nice shine !
Cons Bad Pump's and Motor's so loud you can't talk to anyone !!!
Summary Buyer DO NOT !!! buy a LG Dishwasher !!!!
