Pros Sturdy, swivels, USB hub, ergo for line of sight, and great access to sides and back edge of computer.
Cons Best suited for laptops w/CD drawer on the side
Summary It's now July and I've had my Kensington Laptop Desktop USB 2.0 docking station since Jan 2005 and use it virtually everyday. One of the very best investments I've made for my home office. No need to purchase a flat screen monitor to go with that laptop so that you won't be ergo challenged. Simply use the Kensington to get your laptop screen up where it feels good for you. I added a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse and WA-LA I experience perfection! The base swivels front to back as well as turns left and right. The document holder on front/top is a nice plus. Pros Cheaper than an LCD display and less bulky than a monitor. Keeps your head and neck in an ergonomic position while you work. Full access to CD, PCMCIA slots and all other ports on my HP/Compaq nc6000.
Cons You need an external keyboard and mouse. It's too heavy to travel with. The USB hub has a bulky AC adapter, so I don't use it. I have a smaller, lighter weight hub that does not require AC power that I like better.
