  • "Excellent laptop desk stand with fan & USB hub"

Pros: Sturdy, solid construction & multifunction unit

    Cons: Not very pretty...

Summary: This is the case of "function over form". I had an Antec Notebook Cooler, which had two fans. It became increasingly noisy over the years, so I had to change laptop coolers. The Ergo Fan Riser has a single fan and it is very quiet. The adjustable elevation capability adds to the cooling setup, and my Dell D820 15.4-inch laptop fits very nicely (and securely) on the Ergo Fan Riser. The 4-port USB hub helps me a lot, because I do not have enough USB ports for all of my stuff. I recommend the Ergo Fan Riser to anyone who needs an adjustable desk stand with a cooler fan and 4-port USB hub, all integrated into a single usable functional unit for your laptop.

Remember, this is a sturdy, solid multifunction laptop-desk stand and not necessarily to be easily carted around in your travels with your laptop (which apparently annoyed the CNet reviewer).
