"Enables me to use large laptop plus mouse comfortably in bed" on by bpstein
Pros: Sturdy; very easy to use; optional Mouzpad attachment is great
Cons: Does not insulate heat all that well; somewhat small in the forward-to-back direction for large laptops
Summary: The CNET review of the Laptop Desk v 2.0 is pretty much on target. It is well-made, sturdy, and easy to use. However, you can still feel the heat from the laptop after a short amount of time. Still, I think it does help make the laptop feel a bit less hot. Also, my laptop is a large desktop replacement model and its dimension in the front-to-back direction exceeds that of the laptop desk; but this is not a problem as the laptop balances on the desk well and the setup feels very stable. The best thing about the desk is the optional Mouzpad, which allows me to attach a mouse and use the whole setup, laptop plus mouse, fairly comfortably on my lap in bed. You can buy the Mouzpad separately or as a package deal if you order from the company's website. The Mouzpad alone makes the Laptop Desk worthwhile.

"Makes gaming in bed possible!! Enough said." on by EricSherman
Pros: Makes gaming in bed possible!! Enough said.
Cons: Surface area for front-to-back too small; makeshift feel
Summary: I have a Dell XPS GEN 2, which is quite large. I did not find it to feel too secure on the lap desk, however, it sufficed meaning you can make it work.
For the price and the ability to use a mouse and play Battlefield 2 laying in my bed easily makes it all worthwhile!
