"Ugly? A matter of opinion" on by jefhof
Pros: fairly lightweight, cools the computer, rather thin
Cons: Maybe that it's has to have SOME weight
Summary: I got the X-pad and I like it. I have a 13" MacBook and it fits perfectly with a little extra on the side and a little bit more in the back. It does a great job keeping my hot MacBook from burning my lap. I use it all the time, even on my desk because it provides more cooling space underneath. Ugly? I think it looks rather high-tech. I like its look?

"AWESOME PRODUCT" on by neverdown
Pros: I bought the Xpad to keep my laptop from burning my nuts. It really keeps the heat away from the sensitive parts!!
The rubber pads hold the laptop securely; doesn't slip at all.Cons: None that I have found so far. I don't know what people are talking about when they say it is "heavy." It seems light to me.
Summary: Boys, get this so you can have kids. It rocks. No more sweaty...

"thought this would be a good buy, should have gotten a lot more." on by wonkerdoggy
Pros: It keeps the computer cooler, it's padded so that heat wont hit your lap.
Cons: The price, and it didnt keep the computer as cool as they made it seem.
Summary: I could just use a deck of cards to prop the computer up. It doesnt keep it that cool as its made out to be on their web site and on cnet. Save your money!!

"Why not cut a board to the exact dimensions of your laptop?" on by marksatterfield
Pros: Cost is for wood or plastic
Cons: Ambient cooling with no fans
Summary: I think I'll just take a piece of pexiglas or wood and cut a board to the exact dimensions of my laptop.
