"Want to love it, but the thermostat burns out."
2.5 starson by Michellelc77Pros: When it works, it drys very well, doesn't need a vent, holds a pretty full load for a compact dryer and is actually nice looking.
Cons: The thermostat has burnt out twice- once after we had the machine for 5 months, and once six weeks after that. The technician that came said he expected it would happen again, and that it was a flaw with the model- not our specific machine.
Summary: I like the machine! I just wish I didn't have to worry about it breaking yet again. Especially in such a young machine.

So frustrated with my LG gas dryer too!!! Thermostat burns out at least annually! Had it for 5 years and had the thermostat replaced 6 times! Luckily I had purchased a 5 year warranty, but Best Buy refused to honor their Lemon policy which should have had it (the dryer) replaced after it was repaired for the same issue 3 times. My warranty is now up and the thermostat has just gone out again!!!!! I am throwing in the towel on LG's and going for something else this time, and it wont be from BEST BUY! They are a joke in terms of customer service and they don't deserve my business!
