"Wonderful, but with one complaint..."
Pros: Enough games to occupy anyone for hours, more than competent computer opponents.
Cons: A very small handful of games must be unlocked. And why can I not play some of the games on one system?
Summary: This, first of all, is a wonderful game for the DS. If you like playing ANY number of classic board games out there, this is definitely for you; if you're not a huge fan but would like to learn some card or board games, then this is for you too. The instructions are very well done and the computer opponents are always challenging, if not difficult (in a good way). There are numerous games to be played, some you've lived with forever and some you've never even heard of. I have two complaints though. One, is that you have to unlock a few games. Although these games aren't really that essential (one is basically dirty board and another is a Jeopardy knockoff), they would definitely be nice to have anyway. Also, you cannot play multiplayer turn-based games on one system. Why the heck not? All you have to do is hand a stylus to someone else. It would definitely be worth alot more if I could do this, but of course, no game company would ever think of allowing multiple people to play a game on one cart, unless it's a major console. Nowadays, especially with the DS and with the PC, everyone has to have an uber-expensive copy just to play one game. Why not just let people play, y'know? That would make the games be worth a heckuva lot more. Anyway, I love this game, and the pricetag means that pretty much all DS owners don't have a reasonable excuse not to play, unless they're afraid of re-living some horrific experience of a massive Bridge loss at the hands of vicious family members on game night.
