"A crossword puzzle game that everyone should have!"
4.5 starson by TeddLukePros: A plethora of puzzles to challenge the databanks of the mind- thoroughly challenging!
Cons: The letter recognition writing can be off if you don't write clearly
Summary: I have been doing the New York Times crossword puzzles for a number of years, starting from high school journalism. My teacher would challenge us to complete them during our lunch break. Since then I would take on that challenge whenever I get a copy of the local paper. This game gives me the best options- the challenge of solving the toughest crosswords in the world, being able to correct my mistakes easily, and not having to deal with the newspaper.
The game is straight forward- you can choose from a variety of daily puzzles to solve. There are levels of challenges that you can do to challenge yourself with. Once the choice is made, you write your answers on the touch pad. Simple and to the point.
The only complaint I have is the writing recogniton is a little quirky. Sometimes it confuses one letter for another, like 'R' for 'B' or 'L' for 'I.' Writing clearly is a must, but sometimes it does this even if it is written clearly. It can be tricky to write in the small designated area, producing such results, especially on a moving bus. Otherwise, the game's strightforward premise makes it easy to go through the game and options. If you are addicted to crossword puzzles, and happen to have a Nintendo DS, this game is for you.
