"A lackluster game from Konami"
Pros: Unique story thats loosely like the anime
Cons: Crap animations get old quick
Summary: This is a pretty good game. Unlike the ReShef of destruction videogame this one actually follows the rules of the cardgame. You can duel all your pals, Yami, Yugi, Joey, Tristin, Tea, Weevil Underwood, Rex Raptor, and more! Plus using the unique features of the Nintendo DS, the monsters come to life in animations on the top screen. This is the horror of this game. The game is fun, and challenging (some parts are a bit too hard) however, the animations quite frankly, suck. The same repetitive motion plays on the top screen. The monsters have no special attack, defend, hurt, or anything animation. They just stand there... bobbing... like someone on a caffeine high. A little breath of fresh air comes when you summon a characters' trademark monster (summoning a Blue Eyes White Dragon, or a Dark Magician) calls a pretty little intro where the monster does something unique and a little action theme plays in the background. But that gets repetitve after a while too, especially when you duel Yami or Yugi and have to wait for this stupid annoying intro (unskippable) to play for ever card that they play.
