Pros: Fast burner, good company, LIGHTSCRIBE ?!??!

    Cons: CNET's rediculous rating

Summary: Pros: charged tech support? and Poor Video-editing software???? GIVE ME A BREAK.
you said, quote: " fortunately, installation is as simple as powering up the drive and attaching the FireWire or USB cable to the host PC" WHY DOES ANYTONE CARE ABOUT TECH SUPPORT. Maybe back in the days before every single company on earth had tech support online... nobody calls in anymore. Poor video-editing software?? If you said "This product is perfect for: The SOHO multimedia person" why would they even use the included v-e software. CNET, you need some new reviewers. I've owned a lightscribe drive for a few weeks now and i use it on my mac, i have no complaints and it sure beats trying to accuratly put labels, that dont stay on and do fade, everytime. The main reason anyone would buy this drive is for the LIGHTSCRIBE FEATURE, which works flawless. Go review a thumbdrive or something brainless, Stephen Bigelow. Your review was pointless and obviously wrote with the words of a biased POV.

yea, i don't understand cnet's review for the cons. video editing software and tech support does not constitute the overall performance of the DRIVE itself! i got the newest model recently and it rocks so far. just plug it in and it works! no drivers or anything was necessary for winxp. great drive.
