This DVD Slim Drive is the best I used so far. I have used like 4 DVD Slim Drive and every one of these have failed. One does not burns DVD-R (Fails in Lead-In), Other takes hours to read the Disc, Another one just fails on Lead-Out, and the last one failed reading some discs, while it readed the discs burned with them.
None of these problems are found on the Lite-On eSAU208. I use this drive daily, Even on others computers. I like the USB-Powered since you don't need the AC Power for this drive. The drive burns perfect even on low quality media, which I ran a scan and came with perfect results. The Drive reads disc fast (8x) and it has readed all of my DVDs burned with every DVD Burner. This is a perfect Drive for portability (I travel with it whenever I go). The drive Also produces perfect Lightscribe results. LiteOn says that the AC Adapter is for LightScribe but I have burned LightScribe labels with just the USB Connection and burned excellent and FAST. In my opinion, this DVD Drive will make you to take away your others External DVD Burners you have like I did. I saved two Power connections from my two external DVD Burners and I just use this Drive.
YOU MUST OWN THIS DRIVE EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE SLIM DRIVES. I DON'T LIKE SLIM DRIVES BECAUSE THEY ARE MOST LIKELY TO FAIL BUT THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH THIS DRIVE.
