"good if you only want RW"
Summary: well i was unfortunate enough to buy this drive for £100 under the pretext it was a 228k but the box was damaged.(silly pc world man). when i got home i realised it was the 208 instead. after spending days trwaling the internet i have finally found out, it does not support +r and never will, even with the firmware update. so im taking it back, and getting the 228K. ive got to say though, if its looks you want, i think it looks better then my other plain drives in my pc, and as for RW, i have had no problems. its burned plenty of disks without error, and they all played on my dvd player. If i intended to use it rarely, and mainly for backup, at £100 i couldnt go wrong, but in the long run ive decided to go for the newer model, mainly due to the price of RW compared to R.
