Cons Reliability. I am not the only one with a $279.00 paperweight. Read below. Drive died 1 year and two weeks after purchase. Sony will not help. Will never buy Sony Computer products again. Poor custormer service. Someone needs to start a class action law

onPros Easy to install, multi-format Have had no problems ...yet. Bought DVD X-copy Express and have burned 3 perfect copies. I have to admit the first attempt at burning a DVD went south, but not because of the Sony drive, but my slave (primary IDE) hard drive
Cons Tech support would not even answer my email about what the best way to install drive (ie master/slave-primary/secondar y) Seems they would try to answer these questions to eliminate tech support calls! but then again from reading others experiences it app

Cons DVD burner failed after approx. 1 1/2 mos. (20 DVD burns at most). Cost $19 to ship from Fl to San Jose for warranty, turn time was less than 2 weeks. Now after 2 mos. and 10 DVD burns it's failed again, "Power Calibration Check Failed".(Same as first fai
