Sony DRU-500AX

Summary: I bought this drive at circuit city, after returning the TDK indeo DVD drive. The TDK would not burn a DVD+R disc with five trys and I used TDK brand 2X medium which should have worked and I tried three different burning programs: Nero Vision express, DVDit, and Pinnacle Studio 8. The last two programs came with the drive and I feel they were both very slow in transcoding and didn't work with the drive. I have burned 3 memorex brand 2X DVD-R discs with my sony drive, one with myDVD and two with Nero successfuly and burned one DVD+RW. MyDVD is made by sonic solutions and has motion backgrounds and music when you plop the DVD in your set top player and I found it far supior to DVDit which came with my video capture card and also superior to nero vision express which comes with the TDK and can be downloaded for free off the internet. I couldn't be happier with the Sony and I am grateful to circuit city for allowing the full refund on my exchange.
