"No problems yet"
Pros: Sleek design, high burning speed, 2-ways to put on desk
Cons: Loud, sometimes sounds as if it has problems spinning up to speed
Summary: Bought this and later read the first two '3' rating reviews here...got worried but to date have no significant problems. Although I've only used it to burn data so far (no DVD movies copied yet), I have successfully burned close to 10 discs with only two failed. I believe this is likely the cause of my computer and not the burner, as I only have a 1.4 gigahertz processor and often run many programs at once.
To elaborate on the major con I've found with it, oftentimes when I try to access a file on a burned data DVD, the burner sounds as if its having problems spinning up to speed, as it spins...slows...spins again until it finally spins up and stays spinning at that rate. This causes slight delays in file access, but seems to be avoided when I wait 30-60 seconds after inserting the disc.
