"I love It and it;s a Insignia"
Pros: I like how it has the resolution button on the remote to know the setting, also it has Ethernet & USB for future upgrades.
Cons: None to be found.
Summary: The price was less than two hundred , it has all the features you need. I would recommed this Blu-ray to anyone.

I work for Best Buy. It's ONLY upgradable by disc. Its is possible to get the ISO file online, I'll have to double-check where, but otherwise, you simply have to call the number in the manual to order an upgrade disc. Ethernet and usb do not allow firmware updates.

im sure you can download the PDF manuel off insignia's website. right now the best budget blu-ray players are the panasonic dmp bd35 and the sony ps3

The reviewer said "Ethernet & USB for future upgrades." By this, I believe the reviewer meant it would be made 2.0 compliant via a firmware upgrade in the future. The Cnet reviewer indicated as much.
Why are people so quick to call others liars? -
Do you work for Best Buy? Your review is a lie. Unit cannot be upgraded. Why would anyone buy this cheesy piece of junk when you can buy a Sony for $50 more is beyond me.

according to the article the unit can't be upgraded via ethernet or usb, you say it can, which is it?
what does the manual say about upgrading firmware? Thanks
