"Get what you pay for"
Pros: Real cheap.
Cons: Doesn't last long. Laser beam red light.
Summary: I bought this a few weeks ago because I needed a dvd player to play burned discs, which this does. About two weeks after buying it, I'd say I watched about 5 movies, it went to a split screen with a big yellow "PSCAN" error message. The movies would still play just in a split screen. I checked the manual and it actually has a section on what to do if there is a split screen. It said turn off the player and wait a few minutes. What is this a Nintendo? Should I blow in it too? Ridiculous. I'm taking it back. Also, when the power isn't on but its plugged in, it has an incredibly bright red light on the front, almost like a laser pointer. I don't recommend.Updated
Ok I found out how to fix this problem. If this happens to you or if you have any other weird things happen with this player this is what you should try first before writing and angry, apparently uninformed review!!! Power on, open tray(make sure its empty), hit set up on remote, then left arrow, enter, up arrow, enter, then enter again and the tray should close. This resets the factory defaults and it fixed my problem. Good luck hope this helps!
