"Half as useful without the remote"
Pros: The unit is very thin and sleek and up-converts as well as can be expected.
Cons: Like a lot of devices today, if you lose the remote for this player you lose most of the functionality and options. The USB feature is useless and you can't change any settings on the player. Other than confirming this, LG support is no help. .
Summary: Get a learning remote and learn all the key buttons in case you later lose the remote for this. Expect little help from LG support.
