"Faroudja DCDi...what else should I say"
Pros: The video is amazing on this player. The deinterlacer is the best in the market. The audio is excellent as well.
Cons: For a DVD it's perfect. If you're looking for something plays DVD-A, SACD, etc. Look elsewhere but you'll loose the best DVD picture out there.

Pros: Excellent picture with Faroudja DCDi and good decoder to progressive scan output. CNet reviewers obviously didn't read manual, as the display is EASY to dim and/or turn off completely.
Cons: I was using a Sony DVP-NS715P, which had the nice feature of "resuming" a DVD where you left off, even if DVD removed and unit powered off.
