Pros: Simple to use, versatile in playback, and easy to setup.
Cons: If there's any con to this wonderful DVD player, I would have to say the overall weight. It's VERY light, so you have to hold it in place when you insert a USB drive into the port. Outside of that, there's no cons to it.
Summary: The truth is that I genuinely don't understand the previous user reviews when they say that they think this DVD player is junk. They may have gotten bad units, but that happens with EVERY electronic device out there... Three lemons out of how many MILLIONS made? To me, this is just a case of bad timing, and nothing more.
Folks, if you're looking for a wonderful DVD Player at a good price point, this is the player for you. It took me less than 5 minutes to set it up, and it's been a total dream to use. I've recently been transferring a lot of my old VHS tapes into digital media files, and the USB port on this DVD player makes it easier to enjoy these movies and memories than ever before. Instead of having to burn the files onto a DVD disk and praying that it'll work on your player. all you have to do is convert the file in to a DivX-Compliant file, load it onto your portable HDD or Flash Drive, then plug it into the player. It's that simple!
The bottom-line? This DVD player is worth every penny, and moreso when you consider how much more value your previously-thought-of-obsolete media will have when you realize you have a way to enjoy it all once again.

Summary: If you are looking for an inexpensive DVD player, with upconvert, this will tide you over until you take the BluRay plunge. Found it at Costco for $40. Standard DVDs look good and play well in 1080 upconvert. Somewhat slow moving between functions (load, play, open tray, close tray, etc.).

Pros: DivX, PAL, NTSC, upconverting, and USB. It has everything that I need in a DVD player. Much better than any DVD player I have owned before. Just plug in my USB HD and enjoy. Oh, and cost was great too.
Cons: No real issues.
Summary: Love this machine. Been looking for a very functional USB DivX playing DVD player for awhile. And my pile of PAL DVD's has been growing. This DVD player solves all those desires. Could not believe that I got all this for les than $50CDN.
Only small issue is that cannot find files located down more than 3 levels of file folders on a USB stick or HD.

Pros: Nothing -- didn't work enough to even try it
Cons: I got a total defective unit. It was able to start to play a movie, but then got stuck and then wouldn't open the drive tray. I tried two other commercially bought, scratch-free movies, and they wouldn't play at all -- just got stuck "loading".
Summary: Just defective. Never even played one good disc long enough to try it out. Also, there was a huge spider in the box -- a real live hairy spider that came running out when I opened it. Hope it wasn't some exotic spider from China or something!
