"Extremely versatile"
Pros: Plays all PC recorded disc media
Cons: even plays formats not listed
Summary: Pioneer DV383s instruction booklet plays down all its best features. After reading the operating instructions I was set to take it back to the shop until I operated it. Low and behold, even old cd roms I burnt a few years ago on my first computer played perfectly. Copies of "Red Dwarf" played back in glorious full splendor of the original. The instructions state that DivX will only play if burnt to a CD. I put in a DVD with all the second series of "Little Britain" and it played back in DVD quality!
I often find both my computers tied up by other family members, and although with "TV Tool" a film can be played back while someone else is playing an on-line game, processing speeds can be compromised. This is an excellent and reasonably priced alternate playback facility.
